The angel of death has come a calling, and she is beautiful. To gaze upon her face would send a mortal soul to his grave, but I am all ready dying. She has come for me. To those like me, her presence brings a blessed tranquility; a happiness to be leaving this troubled world with the hope of something better.
I have seen her before, fleeting glimpses of her in my dreams. I have felt her around me for many years, her closeness calming my being. I do not know why she accompanied me throughout my life, but I was always happy to have her there. She has guided and protected me, her light a beacon in the night.
She has finally appeared before me, in all her glory. My time has come. In an instant, I know her story. I was but a child in this world when she passed away. I was her favorite. She chose to postpone her admission to heaven to look after me. She is not the angel of death, but my Guardian Angel, and she is beautiful. On her wings, we fly up to heaven.
